Both Myself and Peter are Mudlark's, which is someone who searches the mud near rivers, trying to find valuable or interesting historical items and we have been searching the fields, mudbanks of the River Thames, Thames Estuary and other rivers for over 80 years between us.  Many of the items we sell have come from own collections, but are not considered treasure by the London Museums.  However if we do find treasure it is recorded as such under the treasure act.  We believe the non-treasure items we find are still valuable to private collectors as antiques and we wish to find them a good home, especially if we have a surplus or do not collect them.  We also find things metal detecting, at boot fairs, antique shows and auctions to bring to Battlesbridge & Essex to sell.
